Good Stuff

A short post tonight:

Yesterday went out with Vitamin G, KQ and JR for dinner at this place called Good Stuff. I had never eaten there before, and the name doesn't lie, it's good stuff. I had a monte cristo sandwich and we all shared some fried zucchini as an appetizer and a brownie with ice cream and fudge for dessert. VG and KG fawned over cutie mccuterson, who, in my opinion, isn't that cute. And not sure which way he sweings, but apparently one of the bus boys rested their head on cuties shoulder ( I was facing the opposite dircetion). I did however come to the conclusion that the bus boy with the 2 'diamond' earrings was a big ol mo. Our waiter, DJ was a little slow, he obviously didn't realize we were VIPs.

After dinner, in the car ride home, of course our conversation turned to poop, as it always does when JR's around. We shared stories of teh kid who peed and crapped their pants in elementary school. Talked about having people over and having them shit themselves in bathing suits, hearing how JR was so enthralled in washing dishes when she was 5 that she shit her pants because she couldn't tear herself away from the kitchen sink. It was a hilarious car ride, I laughed so hard I cried and almost passed out.

That's pretty much that. I didn't do to much today, made 2 trips to Starbucks, and the guy behind the counter asked if I was in yesterday, and I was like, I came in once today already, and he was all, I knew I had just seen you. Not sure what that means, but hey, it's always nice to be noticed. Not that I'm looking, but seeing as how I have never been hit on .I know what you're all thinking, NO WAY! You're gorgeous! And yes, yes I am, I think my beauty is just so off putting people find me unnapproachable, it's sad really. I can't tell who's a flamer and who isn't at my Starbucks. I know for sure one guy is, but he's tragically sad, and can't make a drink right to save his life. The 2 there tonight could be, but I ain't too sure. The one guy has a really feminie haircut, it's long in the front so it fallls over his eyes and short in the back, sort of a reverse mullet if you will. He used to have highlights, but now it's that thing where the front is dark and teh bottom is blonde, which doesn't really work on short hair all that well. The other guy, meh, who knows.

I'm working on another drawing, this time of Tecna from Winx Club, so I should have her done soon.
I'm off to Sven's tomorrow, so there probably won't be another update until Tuesday, I know, it's a long wait, but hopefully it will be worth it, but don't count on it.

Disneyland Double Dose

So Tuesday night Sven came over because we were going to D-land on Wednesday. Tuesday was pretty uneventful for me, because I have no life, I am so sad. Anyways. Sven came down after work and we went outto eat at Denny's since he hadn't had dinner yet. It was pretty good. I had the Denver Scramble and he had a Double Cheeseburger (with the veggie patties of course). We also shared some onion rings, and for dessert I had a strawberry shake and Sven had a banana split. It was pretty late by the time we got back, so we just got ready for bed and conked out.

The next morning we got ready and were at Disneyland before 1, a record for us! We decided to go and get fastpasses for Tower of Terror first, but found out Fast Pass was closed for it, and the wait was 120 minutes, to which we said, "umm, no". So we started to head over to Mullholland Madness, but Sven was side-tracked by the margarita stand. We each got one as they are only 1 per customer, but Sven drank most of both. I don't like the taste of alcohol, and I can taste it in everything, except these, so I had some. We picked up fast passes for Mullholland and then sat and drank out margaritas. Then we went on the Orange Zinger swings, and MaliBoomer. Then it was time for Mullholland Madness, which as we've disscussed, makes me giggle. So I giggled and Sven laughed because he thinks its cute, and of course he poked me a few times to get me to giggle more. Then we both had an abortion as Mullholland came to an end. I swear, that ride has the fastest stop ever at the end. And Sven, being the quickwitted guy he is came up with the whole abortion thing. It stops so fast it gives an abortion.

After Mullholland, we headed towards Downtown Disney as we were hungies. We ate at Naples, which is delicious. I had Spaghetti and Meatballs and Sven had the 4 Cheese Pizza. Mmmm, it was so good I ate the whole thing. After lunch we went into the Magoc Kingdom and got fast passes for buzz lightyear. Then we went on Alice In Wonderland, as it's our little tradition, we do it everytime we go to Disneyland. And no, we don't "do it" at disneyland. I forget the order, but we also went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow Whites Scary Adventure, Pinnochio's Daring Journey, and Buzz Lightyear. I got like 245,000 points and Sven got like 40,000 (which is high for him) and we were so excited. I emailed the pic to myself, but I must have typed in my address wrong and I am so pissed now. Oh well. We had our picture taken in fron of the castle and it came out nice, although I definitely need to lose weight, I look like such a hefer next to Sven, who is 6'2" and 170lbs and I'm 5'5" and the same weight. I need to get my ass in the pool. Anyways, we also watched the fireworks show which is just kick ass and then we headed home. It wasn't too late, so Sven stayed for a bit and we just hung out and then he headed home as he had an early day the next day. It was loads of fun, even though it was a bit busy.

In other news, I got my wedding invite to M's wedding, yay! Although her and R are already married, but they never had a proper wedding. It should be fun, plus it means I get to see M again.

I also talked with E who works at the place I applied to work (it's where Vitamin G and KQ work) and Human Resourses refuses to sign off on their open positions, which E think sis because they are getting a new VP in July, so it looks like I'll have to wait until then before I know anything for sure. But it looks pretty likely that I'll be getting the job, so *fingers crossed*! I also applied at MGA, who make the Bratz, and at Vivendi Universal, so hopefully something will pan out.

I think that's all for now. Hey, maybe life isn't as boring as I thought, or maybe it is, I've just actually been doing things lately, meh. We'll see. Anyways, thanks for reading. Good Night and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Let's Take The Fabulous Level Down To A 2

I have 2 days to cover, so this may be long, or short, depending on how lazy I am.

On Saturday Sven came down to visist, yay! We hung out around my house for awhile waitin for Vitamin G and JR to meet us as we were going out for dinner and then going to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Sven and I watched some tv, burned a couple of data cds (as he had my cd burner, and brought it with him, cause I needed it as I was running out of room on my computer). He brought me Starbucks when he got here, awww. Well, he called me before hand asking if I wanted anything, and I said just to get me wheat he was getting, but he also bought me a lemon rasperry loaf, awww. How nice. Anyways, we just kinda lounged around here waiting for VG and JR to get here. When they did, of course no one could decide where to eat. I suggested BJ's to which VG rejected. SO I named off of a bunch of other places and no one could decide. We were standing in the kitchen for like 20 minutes and I was STARVING, so I was like, "Since no one can decide, I will, and we're going to BJ's". So we all loaded into our cars. VG and JR went with little C as she came to dinner, but didn't want to see the movie. Sven and I took my car, while VG and JR rode in little C's car. VG had to stop off at Target to buy socks, so Sven and I went ahead to put our name sin at BJs. Since BJs is right by a Toys R Us, I being a fan of the toys, stopped in and bought Prince Aidan from the Barbie Magic of Pegasus line and Crystal from the Fairytopia line. I was excited to actually find new toys for once. Although I REALLY want a Fantastic Four Invisible Woman. Why is she so hard to find? Anyways, Sven and I get to BJs and put our name in and the we stand around outside, as it was pretty busy there, wondering why there are so many unattractive people there. VG, JR and little C get there as Sven and I are trying to figure out what song is playing on the radio. I was like, is this Amy Grant? And Sven is all, it's Michael Jackson. I thought he was kidding, and I couldn't hear it very well, so I kept saying it's Amy Grant. Anyways, it was Michael Jackson and I'm just stupid, lol.

We are seated shortly after, and we order the spinach dip and mozzerella sticks for appetizers, and they were delicious. I had the Chicken Broccoli pasta and Sven had a veggie burger, cause he's a crazy vegatarian. BJs has really delicous fries btw. And of course we ordered a couple of Pizzookies for dessert. After dinner, little C went home and JR, VG, Sven and I went to the Target accross from the theater as the movie wasn't starting for another hour. We just wandered around basically. JR and Sven took innappropriate pictures with the digital cameras, VG and I bitched about how much Target's toy selection sucks.

We eventually made our way over to the theater, purchased our tickets and thuroughly enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It was a really funny movie and more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Plus, there was an Amy Grant song in it, which had us laughing histerically. We saw the 10:15pm showing and got out about 12:30, then hung around my house for awhile, and then everybody went home.

Yesterday I went to Disneyland with Vitamin G and KQ and their friend from work, JHK. I was supposed to meet them there around noon, but seeing as we were up late the night before I didn't get up until 11, so I was a little tardy. When I got there, I had to park in the corner of the parking structure that is the farthest away from the escalators to the tram. I was like, fan-fucking-tastic. So after my mile long hike, and comming to the conclusion that the guy who parked next to me was a gay guy who had adopted kids (his voice was just too obvious for him to not be), I made it to the escalators. Once down on the ground. I was in line for the trams, and I was just looking around judging people to pass the time and I decide that I thought the 2 guys next to me were raging mos. Turned out, I was right. One of the guys says in the gayest voice ever "Oh My Gawd! I know her, we work together!". And the other one is all "small world", which was alos super gay. Anyways I was happy I was right, and just so you know, I love the super mos, they're fabulous, and they make life just a little bit more interesting. And when I told VG about it, he said what became the title of this blog. Anyways. I get into California Adventure where I VG, KQ and JHK arealready inside. I was trying to get a hold of VG, but he couldn't hear his phone so I decided to get some ice cream. Which would turn out to be incredibly painful. The little shack where they have shakes and cones had a line of 3 people, so I was like, cool, this won't take too long. But it it did. 10 minutes later, I'm at the window. I'm about to tell the guy what I want when he leans over and says in the most monotone and depressing voice "we are unable to make the chocolate shakes, (long pause) however, (long pause) we are still offering vanilla shakes and cones. It seriously took him 5 minutes to get the line out. I was like, that's great, I want a small vanilla cone. The guy was so depressing. He was a big guy, and in this part of the park, they wear overalls, and it was just sad. Anyways, I finbally got my ice cream cone and I was happy. I met up with everyone at It's Tough Being A Bug, where JHK had to take a picture with VG and I, since we're twins and therefore freaks o'nature.

We proceeded to the Bug's Life show, where I was stopped at the point they hand you the 3d glasses and I needed to step aside and finish my ice cream before I would be allowed to go any further. So I ate it, put my hands up to the lady, said "ALL FINISHED!" and walked away. Once in, I found a plastic container of fruit on the floor, which was then trampled by a family and smushed all over the floor. I was like, "and I couldn't bring in ice cream, ok, whatev". So we watched the show, which was fun, as JHK had never seen it. Then we went on Soaring, which is always a good time. After that we went on Mullholland Madness, which always makes me giggle, which Sven thinks is so cute, and now KQ finds hilarious.

After that we headed over to the Magic Kingdom. Inside, Aladdin, Peter Pan and Wendy were posingfor pictures so we went over there, but all of a sudden, Peter yells "new story!" and is on the floor. And Wendy starts telling kids to sit for a story, and we were all "forget this!" We then went on Buzz Lightyear and got fastpasses for later. Buzz Lightyear is so much fun, it's my new favorite ride.

After Buzz, I kinda forget what we went on next, I think it was Peter Pan. And since it's Disney's 50th anniversaty, they have gold cars in all of the original rides, so it was neat seeing those. We also went on the Tarzan's Treehouse, which was dissappointing because there used to be a half naked guy dressed as Tarzan at the end. We went on the newly revamped Enchanted Tiki room. Yeah, the inside hadn't changed at all. they redid the outside so it has tiki gods in the courtyard and you can buy dole pineapple drinks from both sides of the stand. And the Tiki room just sucks. We also went on the Jungle Cruise, which has a few new surprises, and we went on the Haunted Mansion, where I got naughty with our hitch-hiking ghost just for KQ.

At some point we got hungry and so we went on Buzz again and then we headed to get our stuff out of our locker and then we headed over to the carnation cafe, which was closed, grrr. So we ate at the Plaza Inn, which was good stuff. After that we did a little shoppingand then the Dreams Come True fireworks started, so we stood on Main Street and watched those. They were so cool! It was just amazing. We did some more shopping, then we stopped off at Downtown Disney at the World of Disny Store which turned out to be the most painful experience ever. VG found a cool poster of the people mover and it was the last one but there was no price tag, which basicallycreated chaos at the cash register. The girl called someone, then took the pic and went away for a long ass time. When she came back she said she'd have to do a force sale, or something like that, but she would have to get the manager's approval, but she had to go find the manager. It was horrible. We were so tired, and we just wanted to go home. This would have completely ruined our day, however, it gave us the ability to bicth and moan, and therefore we loved it.

Then we left. I went home and crawled into bed and went night-night.

Blatant Self Promotion

This post is just to share with everyone my latest drawing. It's of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. I did it as a little present for Sven. It's a little different from my usual stuff as I was a little more 'artistic' with it. Anyways, hope you like. I'll do a full recap of my uneventful day, which might actually be eventful this time later tonight or tomorrow.

Earthquakes and Lesbians

So, it's been a fairly uneventful time around here. My cousin S and her friend K came from Wisconsin to visit. It was nice to see her, but it sucks having house guests. You always have to get dressed and shave and all that crap, it's so much effort. They went home today. I think they had a fun time, it's hard to tell, they were so quiet the whole time. Although K's mom did say they were having a lot of fun and it was the trip of a lifetime for them, which I thought was a litlle sad. But i guess coming to CA from WI would be a big deal when you've never left the state before. K saw the ocean for the first time and took a gladware container of sad (aka sand) back home with her, which I thought was funny. We took them to Disneyland, and to South Coast, and they went swimming and worked on their tans a lot, so I think they had a pretty good time. They also got to experience their first earthquake. they actually slpet through the other one we had on Sunday, but they felt today's.

I was at Sven's house on Saturday and spent the night and felt the earthquake. It woke me up, or I was kinda awake, and I was all, I think we're having an earthquake, zzzzzz, lol. When I woke up, I asked Sven if he felt it, but he slpet right through it. Today I was in the bonus room of our house and the dog was lying on the chair in there and I was sitting at the computer, and it started to shake a little, but I just thought it was a pssing truck, as we live near the freeway. But then it lasted a while, and turned into a couple of sharp jolts. It scared the hell out of the dog, and shook me a bit, just cause it's been awhile since we've had a shaker, plus you feel it a lot more on the second story.

I'm really into HGTV and all their fun shows, plus I like that they show gay couples as normal people too. Today on Designer's Challenge there was a lesbian couple. What's up with them? Why do they always look so awful? It's kinda depressing. They were mom jeans and pleated pants and oversized glasses from the 80s. Their hair looks unwashed and is always a variation of the mullet. It's just one of those unanswered questions I guess. What's up with Lesbians?

I was excited today though, as Geri Halliwell's new album Passion finally arrived! It was so worth the wait, it's fantastic! So here is my little review of it:

Passion: A cabaret style sound with a lounge singer flair (in the good way, like the old shows they did in the 20s and such). It's a great introduction to the album. Geri really showcases her ability to use her voice is an extremely sexy and seductive way.

Desire: The second single and a super sexy song. It's all about the feelings we have for someone and the in ability to explain it and the impossiblity to ignore it.

Love Never Loved Me: In my opinion the best song on the album, it has touching lyrics, but is a dance track, it's a great contrast and works so well. It's just an all around kick ass cool song.

Feel The Fear:A beautiful song, and a sort of apology to the four remaining Spices for any pain she may have caused them. It's very touching.

Superstar: Fun a campy, it's the Geri we know and love vamping it up. It's all about having fun and 'playing celebrity' as she says in the song.

Surrender Your Groove: A little more rock than the other songs, put still plenty pop-ish. It's about the high that love can give you. Very fun.

Ride It: The first single, it's pure camptastic Geri. It's danceable, sing-a-longable, and a little naughty. It's fantastic!

There's Always Tomorrow: It has a light feeling to it, even though it's a bittersweet song. It's about realising that there is always a tomorrow, and while today may seem awful, tomorrow is a new day and promises to be better.

Let Me Love You More: This one is about having that love that you never thought you'd have, the one where you love the person more and more each day, and wanting to love them more each moment.

Don't Get Any Better: This is a love you for you song, but it's not crappy like most are. It's funny and smart, and quite catchy. And really, it doesn't get any better than Geri.

Loving Me Back To Life: A tender song about a break up, but in a somewhat good way. Knowing that it's over, but that it was good while it lasted and that it's just time to move on.

So I Give Up On Love: a big band sound with a cabaret flair, it's similar to Passion and pulls the whole album to a close. It ends it with Geri camping it up with talk about boys that have wronged her. It's about thinking you've found mr. right, only to have him turn into mr. wrong. It's geri it top form and an excellent way to end the album

I highly suggest picking this one up, it really is Geri's best work so far. You can preview the songs at itunes Uk (if you are outsidethe UK, go the itunes store and click teh choose store menu bar, you can go to the UK store and listen to clips of the tracks, and if you'relucky enough to live in the UK, you can buy the album from there.)

As a little treat for reading my blog, I give you RIDE IT to downlaod and enjoy for yourself!

I was accosted at Target

Ok, so yesterday I went to Target looking for Fantatic Four Toys and the new Winx toys (whicha re supposed to be out). And while walking towards the Target, I hear "Sir, sir!". Now first of, I'm only 24 and don't like being referred to as 'dir'. I am not 40, nor do I think I look it, especially not yesterday, cause I looked really cute yesterday in my "A" pocket sevens, gray and blue t-shirt, and white and blue sweater jacket that Sven had bought me. Anyways, she comes up to me and says her name is like Nionna or something (she's white with blonde hair) and she starts in on how " and this is the god's honest truth", she needs money to buy food for her kids because their father abandoned her and them and she was just evicted from her apartment and she won't have a place to stay until the weekend. I could totally tell she was lying. Plus, she looked like she was probably a crack whore or something and I felt like I got herpes from just talking to her. I was like, "Sorry, I can't help you". And she was like, "please, please", And I was like, sorry I can't, wish I could". And I walked into Target glad to be away from her. So I go inside look for the things I want, and of course they don't have them. And they really should have considering I had pratically been killed in the parking lot. Anyways, as I left I decided to see if I could find her, as I saw her run off as I went inside. So I drove around the center but didn't see her, and then as I was leaving, I saw her sitting with some guy over at the Del Taco. What a lying bitch! What the hell is wrong with people, who goes around telling people they need money for their kids just so they can get a free meal. Obviously someone gave her money as she had a Del Taco bag in her hands. That person was nice enough to give you money because they thought you needed it, and you lied. How can you feel good about yourself after doing that?

This is why I hate other people. Daria had it right "Hell is other people".

Girls Aloud is an all girl British Pop group that is the result of a show called Popstars over there. It worked a lot like American Idol, only instead of just 1 person winning, 5 did. The 5 Girls that became Girls Aloud are:

Desire to be Apart

While I was out, I stopped by Tower Records and bought Elkland's debut album "Golden" and Geri Halliwell's Single "Desire". Elkland is really great because they have an 80s sound, and you feel like your in the middle of the heyday of 80s pop. And well, from my last post, you know I love Desire, it's just great. (and see how I worked in the name sof teh songs in the title of my blog, nice huh?)

I was excited to get an email from my friend M. We see each other every now and then, and if we both weren't such lazy bitches, we would hang out a lot more, considering she doesn't live that far away. But the great thing is now, and this illustrates our laziness, we finally gave each othe rour IM IDs and now we can chat online, yay!

And Sven called me on his way home from work, and it seems we'll be attending a wedding in Hemet, the shithole of California, a week from this upcoming Saturday. But on the upside, it looks as if I'll be spending the night at his house again, yay!

I'm A Regular Martha Stewart. Well, Without The Evil

So yesterday (Tuesday) and today I, for some reason that is completely unkown to me, have been cleaning. Now, I'm pretty lazy, and I hate cleaning, but I just decided, well, I've got nothing else better to do, so why the hell not? So yesterday I cleaned out my closet. I had actually gone through all of my clothes like a month before, so this was to get rid of all teh extra junk I had shoved in there. On one side there were some transformers and a box of miscellaneous crap, a bag of power cords that go to something, and the aero bed. On the other side were posters galore. So I weeded out the unwanted ones, but kept all of my Spice Girls posters, of which I have a lot. Most notable are the Movie posters, as I have each individual poster of each of the Spices, which I will one day have framed. I also have a HUGE poster of Melanie C's first album, Northern Star, and another HUGE poster advertising their Wembley Concert. There are a bunch of small ones as well. I also found the framed poster that I bought ages ago. It's nothing fancy, it has the 5 girls on a red couch with their signatures above them. (Not their real-life signatures though). It's cool. I plan on hanging it up in my room.

Today I have been a laundry doing machine, as well as trying to go through all of my art stuff so I can get rid of all of the crap I no longer need. I've only made a small dent so far, but I'll probably work on it a bit more before I decide to leave the rest for tomorrow. I also tried making something from Martha Stuart's little food magazine that she has. It was called Egg In The Hole. It's really simple, which is why I did it, because I couldn't fuck it up. You just cut out a circle from the center of wheat bread. place some olive oil (or in my case butter, because butter makes everything better) in a pan, then place the bread and the cut out circle in the pan. crack the egg and place it in the hole in the bread and cook it, fliiping it so that both sides get cooked. Add some salt and pepper and you're done! It was actually quite delicious, and it was fun trying to make something new. I definitely want to try making new foods more often.

See, I told you my life is boring, lol.

For shits and giggles I've decided to add a song of the day (or post if you will), so here is today's song.

Geri Halliwell - Desire (avaliable now from Amazon.co.uk andHMV.co.cuk

Also check out Geri's official site (link is to the right) to watch the Videos for Desire and her previoussingle, Ride It. And listen to tracks from her forthcoming album!

Boyfriends, Spray Tans and the Spice Girls

I was lucky enough to get to spend Sunday and Monday with Sven (my boyfriend who was given this codname in the previous post). Which Means I spent the night with him, yay! I love when I get to spend the night with him. It's such a reassuring feeling falling asleep next to him knowing I get to wake up next to him as well. But enough wth the gushy stuff, on to the "Action"!

So Sunday we went for an early dinner at Coco's, which had a new menu, which is always a fun treat to stumble upon. Of course, I ended up not straying from my standard choices. But only because one of the 'new' items was a combination of my 2 favorite pasta dishes there, the Chicken Alfredo and the Stuffed Rigatoni (although I get it with the Alfredo sauce and not the marinara or meast sauces recommended). It was heaven people, HEAVEN! What a fantastical idea. It was so good I wish I was eating it right now.

We went back to Sven's place and watched some TV and then we watched the season finale of Alias, which was a real shocker. DAMN THEM and their stupid cliffhangers! Although, they definitely left me wanting more, so I guess their work is done, at least until next season.

The next day Sven took me to his work (a tanning salon) and he practice his spray tanning technique on me, as his work just got spray tanning and he wanted to practice ona couple of people before he started in on the paying clients. So of course I was his guinnea pig, not that I mind. Besides, now I am no longer blindingly white, horay! It actually turned out pretty well. I was pleasantly surprised. The only downfall to it is that you can't shower for 6hrs afterwards and the spray leaves you feeling gross.

After I was all sprayed, We went and had food at Red Robin, which was delicious. Then Sven drove me to Toy's R Us so that I could feed my toy collecting habit. Unfortunately, the selection was less than spectacular, so I left empty handed. Oh well.

After that, we went back to his place and I watched some tivo'd Golden Girls while he did some homework. And then we cuddled and wayched Best Week Ever, which was hilarity. The Tom Cruise and Rob And Amber bits were the best. "Boston Rob is so romantic, Love sounds so much better with No R's". That is good comedy people, good comedy! And then I came home and conked out on my bed.

Also this week, I discorved that my all time favorite band, The Spice Girls, may be reuniting for a charity gig that is to take place in July. Whike nothing is finalized yet, and rumors abound, I am hopeful it's true. I love the Spice Girls, they are the first band where I had to go out and buy all of their Cds and singles, their posters, toys, candy, concert tickets, etc, etc. I LOVE the Spice Girls. And because I do, here is a plug for all musical things Spice (go buy these!).

Victoria Beckham: Pure pop goodness. Features the singles Not Such An Innocent Girl and A Mind Of It's Own

Let Your Head Go/ This Groove: Her double single which gave her a number 3 hit. Let Your Head Go is a fast and fun dance track, and This Groove is a sexy mid tempo track.
