Berry Hotpocket

Today Vitamin G came down to switch cars, as he had mine and I had his because the brake pads in his needed to be replaced and he borrowed my car while his was being fixed.

We went to a couple of different stores looking for fun new things, I didn't find anything, but G bought a toy and something for KQ. We did see the new toys KQ did the packaging for, and come to think of it, I meant to purchase them, oh well. It's not like I'll never go to Toys "R" Us again, I practically live there anyways. (BTW, it looks super cool KQ, I LOVE the handle). After that we went to Olive Garden, which is oh so delicous. We shared the new appetizer smoked gouda fotuda (or something like that), it's cheesy goodness. tehn came soup and then our meals. I had the fettucine alfredo, yum yum! and G had the tour of italy. For dessert, G ordered their new berry thing and I ordered my favorite, teh Berry Crostada, or as Sven and I call it, The Berry Hotpocket. It is SO good, and it comes with vanilla ice cream with a delicous rasperry sauce drizzled on top. I get and I am so excited an dthen I realize it looks different somehow, the stupid waitress put hot fudge and caramel on it! WHAT THE FUCK? Is she sick in the head? What on earth would posses someone to do such a HANEOUS thing to a perfectly delicious dessert? She ruined it for me, I was so upset I almost cried, seriously, ask Vitamin G. It was so traumatic, I complained the whole time. She ruined it! Why, why, why?!? She was evil incarnate I tell you. she ruined what was a perfectly delightful meal, I hope she can sleep at night knowing she;s a dessert wrecker.

Nancy Drew, I *Heart* You!

I warn you, you may not find any of this interesting. I do, and maybe you will, let's just have a go at it shall we?

Today Sven came over and we went to Disneyland, after stopping to have lunch at Olive Garden, which was so delicious. We tried the new gouda cheese fondu (YUM!), and I had tehir new baked Zita, which was also yummers. Sven had his usual, the manicotti, which is alway super nummers.

We got to D-Land and we went into the MAgic Kingdom first to rent a locker for our stuff, and then we were going to head over to California Adventure, which we call California-Land. Well, we got side-tracked when we went to go get fast passes for Space Mountain (they had given out all of teh fast passes for the day), so we decided to get fast passes for Buzz Lightyear and then wait in line for Space Mountain. They did some really cool redesigning on the inside of the mountain (the line part) and the ride was super fun. The music was cool, and it didn't dissapoint. After Space Mountain, We rode Alice In Wonderland, as it is our little ritual to always do that ride. We were going to get fast passes for Indiana Jones, but they weren't doing it, Pirates had a long line and so did Jungle Cruise, and since it was almost time for Buzz, we just headed over there. Buzz was super fun as usual. Afterwards wegrabbed our stuff from our locker, I exchanged a shirt for KQ (you're welcome) and we headed to California land. We went straight for Tower of Terror, which had a surprisingly short line. Our main reason for going was to see this worker Matt, who we fondly refer to as Matt Homosexual. He gets really into character and it's so ofunny, and last time we were there, we took a picture with him. But alas, Matt Homosexual was nowhere to be found. We were sad to say the least.

We headed out after that to miss the crowds and we stopped off at target so SVen could piick up some white strips and then we went to Starbucks. We Hung out in my room watching our new fav reality show on A&E, Dog The Bounty Hunter and then watched a little of the Girls Aloud DVD I just got.

Oh, wait, D-LAnd news bulletin: The Submarines will be a Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage ride coming in 2007, and in California land, that Superstar Limo ride is turning into a Monsters Inc Ride coming January 2006.

Now, on to a topic related to the titled. I love Nancy Drew. I've liked reading about Nancy for a long Time now, I have a ton of her books, and while at The Comic-Con Vitamin G bought me the new graphic novels, whiched re-sparked my love for Miss Drew. I went to Barnes and Noble and bought the first new Super Mystery, and this one is cool because Nancy is Missing, so it's up to her friends to find her. I t wa scool to have the story told from a different point of view. I alos bought "Thor Son Of Asgard Book 2: Worthy" another graphic novel, and a new book from the series Fearless. I found out the series ended with book 36, and now it's starting a new with the main character joining the FBI. But, I need to read books 23-36 before I can read my new one, but first I have to finish the 2 books I'm half way through with, Ellen's first book and Victoria beckham's autobiography.

Anyways, I was thinking about how Veronica Mars is basically Nancy Drew, only edgier, so I can see why I like Veronica so much, it's like Nancy Drew the TV series, yay!

Hmm, for some reason I thought I had something more in-depth to say about that, oh well.

I also learned that Hasbro has major plans for their Jem line. We won't see anything this year, but next year for sure, so super YAY!!

I alos found ther new Trollz dolls, but I'll save that for next time.

Sure, I'll Do It For Fifty Bucks

As a warning, this post may be long, as I have a lot to cover.

So Tuesday night I went up to Sven's hous eto spend the night, as the next morning we were heading up to San Diego for the Sand Diego Comic Con. We set out to leave between 10 and 11 am, but ended up leaving at like 2:45pm, lol. We just slept in and we wanted to eat before we left so we got In-N-Out (which I am so addicted to right now, I want it all the time, mmmmm, I want it right now too), and we filled my tires up with air, and then we were off. I was surprised that we didn't hit too much traffic, there was somee closer to downtown, but it wasn't so bad, except I had to pee so horribly bad, and to make matters worse, it took like 10 extra minutes to find the entrance to the hotel with all of San Diego's freaking one way streets.

Anyways, we got all checked in and went up to our room, which had a really nice view and was all around very nice. WSe headed over to the convention to get our badges and check out preview night (which is for 4 day registered members only). I bought a few things that night, but it all kinda blends together now. Over the course of the 3 days I was there I bought:

Fantastic 4 Movie: Invisble Woman (fully painted)
Fantastic 4 Movie: Invisble Woman (phasing version)
King Randor Staction Figure
He-Man Mini Bust
He-Man 'Best Of' DVD
Happy Tree Friends Volume 3 DVD
Happy Tree Friends Buttons
Nancy Drew Graphic Novels (Volumes 1 and 2) - Thanks G!
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Super Articulated figures: Graduation Buffy and Faith, Bad Girls Faith, Once More With Feeling Buffy, End Of Days Buffy and Faith
Crisis On Infinite Earths Supergirl
Cirsis On Infinite Earths Harbinger
DC Direct Teen Titans Superboy
Mattel's Catwoman Comic-Con exclusive
Elvira Maquette (signed by Elvira herself at the convention).

Wednesday night after the convention, Sven and I walked around downtown looking for a place to eat, and we spotted Rock Bottom brewery (which we had been introduced to by ka) and I was in heaven! I got my Classic mac and chicken and it was SO good. For dessert I got the Apple Pear cobbler, which was delicous, and Sven got their version of an ice cream sandwhich, which was also delicious. We headed back to the hotel where we flipped through the channels to see if there was anything on. And we discovered a new fantastic reality show 'Dog The Bounty Hunter". It's about a family of bounty hunters and it stars 'Dog' who is liek teh best bounty hunter ever and his wife, beth, who is just so fantastic. She dresses in little denim outfits and is always themed it seems, and wears high heels tp go hunting, it's awesome. And I swear, all she is is neck and then boobs, she could rest her head on them if she wanted to, lol. So we watched the little marathon of that then headed to bed.

Thurday we got a bit of a late start, but we made it to the convention and spent a couple hours there (if that), then headed back to the hotel. We made plans to meet Sven's friend (and mine buthe knew her first) lacey (which isn't her real name, but the name on her fake ID) that night at this place called Gringo's which is supposed to have really good food. It was awhile till we were supposed to meet her and we hadn't eaten yet, so we decided we would get some food, and hour after debating what to get, we went to the hotel restaurant (this is like a half hour befor ewe are supposed to meet Lacey now) and Sven had Pizza and I had the best Spilt Pea soup ever and we shared parmesan fries, which were to die for. After that we went back up to the hotel, grabbed our stuff and headed out to meet Lacey at Gringo's, which lived up to the expectations. Sven has been talking about wanting what he calls 'venti cheese' and now I know why. They have this amazing cheese dip for chips, and once you've tasted it, you want a venti sized portion, lol. I had some steak thing that was really delicious and then we all got a different dessert, and all 3 were phenomenal. After dinner we said good bye to lacey, returned to the hotel and relaxed. it was cool because for some reason there were fireworks that night and we got to see 2 different shows from the comfort of our room.

Friday, Vitamin G and KQ came up too. They met us at the hotel andd we all walked over to the convention center. The highlight of the day was the Veronica Mars panel. It featured the Creator of the show, Rob Thomas and a few of the actors. And a big surprise, the guest star of next season, CHARISMA CARPENTER! YAY! Love Her! Anyways, it was great because all 4 of us were wearing the 'Veronica is my BFF' shirts KQ had made us (which we got comments onall day) and Rob Thomas thought they were so cool. KQ even gave him one and one for Kristen Bell. After the panel discussion, they did a signing, and the bastards at the convention switched the site so we were in the wrong place. Thankfully we made it up to see them and they were all excited over our shirts. They were signing really cool posters, and it was awesome to meet them.

After that, Sven and I got in line to meet Elvira, while Vitamin G and KQ went back to the exhibit hall to shop. It took awhile to meet Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) as she is reallynice and talks and takes pictures with her fans. I was super excited because she had her maquette for sale and I had been looking for one since they came out but they had sold out super fast. So of course I bought it and she signed it on the thigh of the statue, which is very cool. I also gave her a copy of the Elvira vector (see previous journals) I did, and she loved it. She said she'd put it on her website, yay! Sven got teh Mistress of the Dark DVd so he could have a signed one like he has with Haunted Hills, and he had her sign it "Stephen, Sure I'll Do It For Fifty Bucks -XX Elvira', which is a line from Mistress of the Dark. She ot a real kick out of it, and tehn we each took our picture with her. She is awesome.

After that, we met up with Vitamin G and KQ and walked around for a bit more. KQ wasn't feeling so well so she went to sit down and Sven had kinda had enough of the conventionand I don't blame him, it's not his thing, so he went to Starbucks. Vitamin G and I walked around for awhile longer, then we met up with KQ (who magically appeared out of no where) and then with Sven at Starbucks. We were all hungry so we ate at the Hotel restaurant, which was again, delicious (I had a pesto capellini). After that we headed home. Sven and I arrived home about 12, so I spent the night, plus his frien A was having a party the next day, so it was easier then driving home and driving back up.

the party was fun, but I smelled like cigarette smoke afterwards and my eyes were burning. Sven had alittle to much to drink, he didn't get sick, just kinda passed out in the car on the way home. He was fine the next day, but I stayed a little while with him to make sure he was ok, then I headed on home.

The weekend was a blast, and I am so glad Sven came with me, he is such a good sport. The only bad part was I lost my 2 credit cards. think they fell out in the hotel room, as that I remember tossing my wallet onto my suitcase and I think it happened then. However, no charges had been made, so that was good.

Nothing interesting has happened

Yeah, what the title says. Not too much has gone on. I went to Sven's on Wednesday and we ate lunch with his friend AB at this mexican restaurant by Sven's old house. I think is was called Los Palomas, but I'm not positive. It was quite good, I had spinach and mushroom enchiladas. After lunch we went and saw War Of The Worlds. Now I'm teh first to agree that Tom Cruise has gone completly CRAZY, but I tried to not think about that in the movie. It was pretty decent, but I'm not a huge fan of mass amounts of people dying in movies, I just find it really depressing.

After that we dropped AB off at her house and went back to Sven's place. I went to brush my teeth as the enchiladas left my mouth tasting a little icky, and when I cam into Sven's room his mum was asking him if he'd go get her and his dad food. I being the nice person I am volunteered to drive. So we went and picked that up, nothing eventful there.

Once back at Sven's house, we had our shakes and shared an order of fries and watched tv. We made out for awhile and then it was time for me to head home.

The next day, I was bored so I visited every Target and Toys R Us in my area looking for teh 6" Invisible Woman movie figure (didn't find her) and 3 of the new Winx Dolls Tecna, Musa and Layla (didn't find them either). But I did find a bargain. There are these toys called Mega Blocks that are kind alike legos. Anyeays they had an animated movie not to long ago called "Dragons: Fire and Ice" which is based of of their toyline of the same name. It was actually a really good movie and I always wanted to buy the playset that came with the 2 main characters from the movie, but I never felt like paying 50 bucks fo it. Well, it was on sale for $30, so I said what the hell and bought it. It's pretty cool, and I found out there is a new movie coming out and a new line of toys for the movie, all of which look really cool, yay!

That's pretty much it. Today I worked a little on my Winx Club drawings. I am redoing my sketch of Layla, as I don't like my original, and the new one is turning out pretty good. I have to draw her wings and work on her hair and outfit some more (minor style tweaking and such) and it'll be ready to color. I just recently finished Tecna and she can be seen by following the "ARTWORK" link to the right. I'll keep you posted on the progress, which I know has everyone on the edge of their seats!

Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow,
